Katie began her career in medicine working in pharmaceutical research, where she contributed to Phase I–IV clinical trials for nearly a decade. Her deep knowledge of pharmacology inspired her to pursue clinical practice through a medical training program.
She joined the North Dakota Army National Guard and, within a year of completing her training, deployed to Afghanistan for a 12-month tour.
After returning home, Katie completed her Bachelor’s degree at North Dakota State University and went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University in 2011.
Katie launched her career as a PA at Temple University’s Episcopal Hospital Crisis Response Center, where she evaluated patients in acute psychiatric crisis to provide stabilization and connect them with vital resources. Since then, she has worked in detox and rehabilitation centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient clinics.
With a strong focus on trauma-informed care, Katie brings empathy, insight, and clinical skill to every interaction. She is also passionate about community education and has delivered lectures on the impact of trauma on mental and physical health.

Why We Are Here
Katie created this practice to offer a space where people seeking mental health treatment feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Mental health care should feel safe, compassionate, and personalized—especially when addressing life’s most difficult topics. Our goal is to provide an environment of comfort and trust where healing can begin.
By integrating medication management, lifestyle changes, and therapeutic approaches, we work together to develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan tailored to each person’s unique needs.
We also recognize that the patient-provider relationship is essential to effective care. If I’m not the right fit, We are always happy to connect patients with other skilled psychiatry providers in the community. Everyone deserves care that feels aligned and supportive.
